Cambridge Security is proud to announce a new veteran hiring initiative giving special preferences to those who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, including security license training and application reimbursement.
Since 2001, over three million American service members have left active duty military service. Unemployment rates for these Post-9/11 veterans—service members who served from September 2001 to the present—remain higher than the national. This is especially true for post-9/11 veterans between the ages of 18 and 24. Unemployment rates for these veterans are two to three times that of the national average.
“As an American-owned company, Cambridge Security believes we have an obligation to thank our veterans with more than just words. For that reason, we are launching our America’s Heroes Program: Veteran Hiring Initiative.”
— Jim D’Arcy, Chief Operating Officer
As part of the America’s Heroes program, Cambridge Security will reimburse eligible employees and unlicensed applicants hired between September 27, 2019 and December 31, 2019 for training and license expenses (not including ammunition) paid to licensed security training schools and the State of Florida. The company will reimburse employees at the conclusion of a successfully completed course and 90 days of full time, uninterrupted employment. Reimbursement amounts range from $200 for a Class D licensing course to $350 for a Class G.
Veterans are a natural fit for our organization. They consistently exhibit many of the leadership qualities that we seek and nurture—confidence, integrity, decisiveness, and professionalism—along with the skills, character, and commitment that they also bring to the workplace.
