We are delighted to announce an extension of the services that Cambridge Security is offering to retailers and retail loss prevention executives: loss prevention operatives. As a leading provider of retail security services, Cambridge Security works with major retail clients nationwide. The new loss prevention operatives service has been established in response to client needs, as they look to incorporate more sophisticated approaches to physical security to combat the ever-changing tactics of the criminal element in the retail environment. We are anticipating significant interest in this service, and are pleased to extend the range of services that we offer to our retail clients.
Loss prevention operatives are highly trained individuals focused on reducing internal and external theft. They have a different role than security officers and greeters, who are dressed in uniforms, have stationary posts, and observe, report, and deter. A security operative is dressed in plain clothes and can move freely throughout the retail store monitoring and surveilling the behavior of customers and employees, looking for theft and deterring the threat. Their work in loss prevention contributes directly to the bottom line.
Cambridge Security has developed an in-depth internal training program for loss prevention operatives. To qualify for this program, employees are required to have a background in criminal justice and experience within the retail industry. They must be discrete and professional, tech-savvy, and excellent observers of human behavior.
We would welcome the opportunity to introduce retailers to our new loss prevention operatives service. If you are planning to attend NRF Protect 2015, please drop by our booth #456 or contact us directly to organize a private meeting ahead of time. President Stan Czwakiel and Senior Vice President David Malefsky, who heads up Cambridge Security’s retail division nationwide, will be representing Cambridge Security at NRF Protect 2015.
