Security for PreK-12 Schools
When it comes to preschool to high school security, Cambridge Security has the experience and knowledge you need to protect your students, faculty, visitors, and property. From officers who provide a welcoming but watchful physical presence to technology solutions that keep the school secure, we offer a wide range of school security services, allowing for a program customized to each school.
Our services include:
- Armed or unarmed security officers
- Mobile patrols, on foot, on bike, or by car
- Parking lot security
- Access control systems
- CCTV and monitoring systems
Our officers are supported by a 24/7 National Command Center, which acts as a single point of contact, should an emergency arise.
Cambridge Security also has extensive experience providing protection to parochial schools. Having worked with religious schools for over 15 years, we have an in-depth understanding of the unique security threats these schools face. Our service to parochial schools can be either as the sole security provider, or as a supplement to the school’s existing internal security program.
Our officers are thoroughly screened, highly trained, and held to the highest standards. As part of our hiring process, applicants are required to undergo psychological, aptitude and drug screening tests. Background checks are performed, including prior employment, and reviewed along side state and federal fingerprint searches, social security and driving record checks. Cambridge Security is proud to employ officers who have backgrounds in the military, in law enforcement, and as first responders.

Officer Profile: Ken Becker, Head of School Security
Ken Becker is the head of security at a private K-12 school in Naples, Florida, and an excellent example of the people we employ at Cambridge Security.
At the school, Ken’s role includes leading a team of security officers, monitoring 97 closed circuit cameras, patrolling the school campus by foot and by golf cart, and supervising student arrivals and dismissals, and overseeing the school’s controlled access entry system throughout the day. His service to the school community goes above and beyond these critical security tasks, however. For example, it’s not uncommon to see Officer Becker chatting with students during lunch in the school’s dining hall, or kicking a soccer ball with kindergarteners during recess. To Ken, being engaged with the school community is simply a part of the job.
Before taking the position at the school, Ken served with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office for 30 years, 20 of which were spent in the Criminal Investigation Division. A longtime member and, later, a supervisor, of the Special Crimes Bureau, Ken’s work focused on children’s welfare. He is trained to assist in traffic control, administer CPR and AED, and respond to all emergencies.
