Especially on Veterans Day, Cambridge Security would like to recognize and thank all veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice.
Our Veterans hiring initiative, the “America’s Heroes Program,” enables us to target veterans who are a natural fit for our organization. Veterans exhibit many of the core values we practice and nurture- confidence, integrity, decisiveness, teamwork and professionalism.
As a proud employer of veterans, we started a tradition several years ago to highlight one of our employees who served in the in United States Armed Forces in recognition of Veterans Day. This year, we have chosen Michael Goodro, the Operations Manager of our West Coast branch. Michael exemplifies our core values. The skills and leadership qualities that he has brought to Cambridge Security has served us well. Thank you Michael!
Michael joined Cambridge in December of 2018 as a Security Officer with our West Coast branch, and within a few weeks was promoted to Operations Coordinator. He also worked special events for us. In June of 2020, Michael was promoted to Operations Manager for the same branch.
Michael is a decorated combat veteran who served 20 years in the United States Army Military Police, including multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. His assignments included tours with the 3D Infantry Division (Mechanized) during Operations Iraqi Freedom, Iraqi Freedom III and Iraq Freedom IV, and the 1st Infantry Division (Mechanized) during Operation Enduring Freedom XII.
He has served as Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant in Iraq as well as being part of U.S. Army Soldiers responsible for training and serving with Iraqi soldiers, and Iraqi Police.
During his service he has been awarded numerous awards:
